You will be able to use Alice only if you have an active license or trial. Please, make sure you autenticate with the same email. If you have not been authorised, please sign up for a Waitlist.
Download Alice for macOS M1 & M2Above all, you need to know that Alice operates on your API key from Open AI, which you need to register for and obtain a key. Initially, you will receive a credit of $18 which should last for a while. However, once you plug in credit card, remember to set a spending limit on your account, this is very important! If Alice gives you warnings about the API key, this probably means you need to put the credit card in OpenAI dashboard.
🚨 Since in Alice you can assign keyboard shortcuts to actions, it may happen that the contents of your clipboard are accidentally sent to Open AI when you press the shortcut. As a result, you may accidentally send private data there, and if there are, for example, dozens of pages in the clipboard, you may incur high costs for their processing. You do this at your own risk so we recommend caution. Always set your spending limit in OpenAI, too.
Also, please remember to download ALICE only from our domain. One of the typical cases of API key fraud is sending a fake application that can impersonate Alice.
The Alice license is assigned to your email address. When activating it, use the address to which I am sending this message.Also, please remember the most important shortcut Cmd (Ctrl) + Shift + d. It allows you to call up or hide the Alice window at any time.
Alice is really powerful but as for now, it requires some configuration. You don't have to know how to code. But certain mindset and automation skills are crucial if you want to make the most of Alice. Please, make sure you watch tutorials in this section. This book covers what's necessary and beyond and we highly recommend you check it out.
ALICE SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT
1. DEFINITIONS
"Software" refers to Alice, an AI assistant that utilizes OpenAI API keys.
"User" refers to the licensee under this agreement.
2. GRANT OF LICENSE
Subject to the terms of this Agreement, the Licensor grants to the User a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the Software.
3. USAGE RESTRICTIONS
a. The User may only use the Software with their whitelisted account.
b. The User may use the Software for commercial purposes, provided that such use complies with OpenAI's terms and conditions.
4. OPENAI API
a. The User acknowledges that the Software utilizes OpenAI API keys.
b. The User is solely responsible for all costs, expenses, and compliance associated with the usage of OpenAI API. The Licensor does not cover any OpenAI API usage.
5. TERMINATION
This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice from the Licensor if the User fails to comply with any of its provisions.
6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE LICENSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, MERCHANTABILITY, OR ANY OTHER MATTER.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.
8. GENERAL
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Licensor resides. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
